FAQ

The length of an exam depends on the type of exam and the examinee. Exams can range from 2–6 hours. We typically allocate 4 hours for an exam.

Monday through Friday for all locations. Testing is also available on Saturday in Kalispell & Shelby. There is no extra charge for Saturday exams in Kalispell. An extra $100 will be applied for Saturday exams in Shelby.

For best results, you should take the exam at the beginning of your day (a few hours after waking up). Taking an exam at the end of the day or after a full day of work is likely to prolong the exam or require rescheduling. Allow plenty of time to take the exam. Do not schedule other events immediately before or after the exam.

Exams are by appointment. We will work with you to set up a time that works for both you and the examiner.

Do whatever is normal. If you are normally taking prescription medication, continue to take it. If you normally drink coffee or smoke, please do so.

Exam fees range between $350 to $500 for Kalispell, Missoula, Shelby, and Butte (pre-scheduled dates). On-demand exams of any type are available in Butte for $800, and Wolf Point for $1200. Discounts may be given if groups of exams are scheduled or if regular use is anticipated. If travel outside one of our normal testing locations is required, additional costs may apply.

We have a permanent testing site in Kalispell and day-use locations in Missoula, Shelby, and Butte. We will travel to Wolf Point for testing. Testing is possible in other locations if there is a suitable site for the exam. (We are working on establishing a dedicated day-use site in Great Falls.)

A deposit is required for all Family Relationship and Fidelity exams. The amount of the deposit is based upon the location of the exam. The remaining payment is due on the day of the exam, before the exam starts. We accept cash and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). We do not charge an extra fee for credit cards. Government entities and legal counsel may also pay by check.

Test questions are unique to each exam based on the individual situation. The examiner needs time to evaluate the situation and formulate appropriate exam questions.

Unless an interpreter is needed, only the examiner and examinee are in the exam room.

We will only release exam results to individuals specified on your consent form.
