FAQ

1. How long do exams take?
The length of an exam depends on the type of exam and the examinee. Exams can range from 2-6 hours. We typically allocate 4 hours for an exam.

2. What days are you willing to conduct exams?
Monday through Friday for all locations. Testing is also available on Saturday in Kalispell.

3. When should I take the exam?
For best results, you should take the exam at the beginning of your day. (A few hours after waking up.) Taking an exam at the end of the day or after a full day of work is likely to prolong the exam or require rescheduling. Allow plenty of time to take the exam. Do not schedule other events immediately before or after the exam.

4. I work night/swing shift. Do you work outside of normal business hours?
Exams are by appointment. We will work with you to set up a time that works for both you and the examiner.

5. Can I drink coffee, smoke, or take prescription medication prior to the exam?
Do whatever is normal. If you are normally taking prescription medication, continue to take it. If you normally drink coffee or smoke, please do so.

6. How much do exams cost?
Exam fees range between $350 to $800. The cost of an exam varies based upon the type of exam. Discounts may be given if groups of exams are scheduled or regular use is anticipated. If travel outside one of our normal testing locations is required, additional costs may apply.

7. Where do you offer testing?
We have a permanent testing site in Kalispell and a day use location in Missoula. Testing is possible in other locations if there is a suitable site for the exam.

8. When do I pay for the exam.
Payment for the exam is on the day of the exam, before the exam starts. We accept cash and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).

9. Why do you need to talk to the exam requestor before taking the exam?
Test questions are unique to each exam based on the individual situation. The examiner needs time to evaluate the situation and formulate appropriate exam questions.

10. Who is present during the exam?
Unless an interpreter is needed, only the examiner and examinee are in the exam room.

11. Who can see my exam results?
We will only release exam results to individuals specified on your consent form.

12. Can you recommend a polygraph examiner in a different location?
